BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TWO of the three individuals who were being sought as “persons of interest” in the Kaheel Herbert murder, have reportedly surrendered to the police.

The police have informed that Gavin Whyte of Buckley’s Site and Inelbo Ibo Hendrickson of Malone Avenue “surrendered to the Basseterre Police Station…accompanied by (their) lawyer” on Saturday (Sept. 27).

On the evening of Monday 22, September, 2014, Herbert was at the Accident and Emergency Department at the Joseph N. France General Hospital reportedly to receive treatment for a wound, when two gunmen entered the Department and opened fire on him.

SKNVibes understands that one gunman entered first and opened fire, and was followed sharply by the second individual.

The critically-wounded man was rushed into emergency surgery and hours later emerged. However, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter on Tuesday (Sept. 23).

Late last week, the police issued wanted bulletins seeking the public’s assistance in ascertaining these young men’s whereabouts.

The third person being sought by the police is Jahzya Roy Wilkerson of Shadwell. He is 23 years old and is described as being 5’10” tall, has black hair and is brown in complexion with brown eyes.

Persons having information on the whereabouts of Wilkerson, or information about the incident, are asked to contact either the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.
