Representatives of the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) are taking part in the program of international invitees organized by the Supreme Electoral Court of Brazil for the general elections in the country today.
The Organization would like to express its gratitude to the Court for the invitation. During the visit, the Secretary General of the OAS, José Miguel Insulza, José Miguel Insulza, designated as his delegate the Secretary for External Relations of the OAS, Alfonso Quiñonez, who is accompanied by a specialist from the Department of Electoral Cooperation and Observation (DECO).
During their visit to the country, the OAS delegates attended the various presentations made by the Court on the organization of the elections and the Brazilian political panorama. These activities are a demonstration of the strengthening of the relationship between the OAS and the Brazilian electoral authorities.
