Constable Avis Shermel Cannonier Laid To Rest

Press Release

    On 2nd October 2014, members of The Joint Security Services, Customs, St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services, Her Majesty's Prison, Island Constables, and the general public came out in numbers to show their love and support to Constable Avis Shermel Cannonier at her funeral service held at the Word of Life New Testament Church of God in Basseterre. 

     

    Also attending the funeral service were His Excellency, Governor General Sir Edmond Lawrence; The Right Honourable Prime Minister Dr Denzil L. Douglas, Her Excellency Ambassador Mrs. Astona Browne, Commissioner of Police C. G. Walwyn, and Deputy Commissioner of Police Stafford Liburd.
     
    Commissioner C G  Walwyn in his tribute thanked Mrs. Carlene Stanley, the mother of Constable Cannonier for allowing her to be apart of The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. He also informed the gathering that Constable Cannonier was a good officer and that she served people of the Federation with honor and dignity.
