BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, OCTOBER 17TH 2014 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas leads his Cabinet Ministers and new Springtime Labour Party candidates in what has been dubbed a “Labour Rally” in Old Road tonight (Friday) at 7:30.
Prime Minister Douglas, who is also the National Political Leader of the governing St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, is expected to tout his fourth-term administration’s successes and challenges in the national economy.
Cabinet minister scheduled to speak on matters related to their portfolios are Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Public Works and Energy, the Hon. Dr. Earl Asim Martin; Minister of Health, Social and Community Development, the Hon. Marcella Liburd; Minister of Youth, Sports and Information Technology and Parliamentary Representative for St. Christopher 4, the Hon. Glenn Phillip; Minister of Tourism, International Transport, Industry and Consumer Affairs, the Hon. Richard “Ricky” Skerritt and Minister of Education and Agriculture, Sen. the Hon. Nigel Carty.
Also speaking on the platform are Mr. Konris Maynard, Dr. Norgen Wilson, Dr. Vance Gilbert and Dr. Terrance Drew.
Speakers are expected to focus on the all important issues of the economy, tourism, healthcare, labour, home and land ownership, social development programmes and other benefits aimed at improving the quality of life on nationals and residents.
