LIME announces appointment of new Country Manager

    Bridgetown, Barbados – March 11, 2009: Barbadian Alex McDonald has been appointed Country Manager for LIME in Barbados, with effect from March 16, 2009.

    Alex will assume direct responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the Barbados business formerly managed by Don Austin. He joins LIME from the One Caribbean Media Group where he was the Chief Operating Officer for Starcom Network Inc. 

    Before joining the One Caribbean Media Group, Alex worked with the Fujitsu Corporation from 1995 to 2004, serving in several capacities. His tenure at Fujitsu culminated in his appointment to the role of Vice President Strategic Market Development, Caribbean. He also launched a successful small consulting group which has acted in an advisory capacity to government as well as large, small and medium enterprises.

    Alex has a passion for change management, leadership development and sales and service excellence. He has served, and continues to serve, on several boards and civic bodies. He is anavid sports enthusiast and was a part of the Cricket World Cup Team in Barbados.

    In making the announcement, Richard Dodd, CEO of LIME Caribbean said: “We are very fortunate to have been able to attract a talent such as Alex. He brings to LIME the kind of leadership and know how that will help to continue the positive performance of our Barbados
    business.”

    Mr. Dodd also thanked former President Don Austin for the support he has provided in the Country Manager position over the last few months while also undertaking his new role as Executive Vice President, Legal & Regulatory Affairs.
