U.S.V.I. - Two arrests were made in connection with a shooting that occurred on St. Thomas Saturday, March 14 at about 3:30 p.m. when police heard gunshots and followed a suspicious vehicle leaving the Oswald Harris Court community. The occupants of that vehicle later opened fire on police and attempted to evade capture.
Arrested were Isaiah George, 25 of Bolongo Bay and Ruben George, 23 of Oswald Harris Court. They were charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm, Aggravated Assault and Battery, Reckless Endangerment and Reckless Driving.
According to the police report Isaiah George and Ruben George were in the vehicle that opened fire on police.
Police are actively seeking additional suspects in this shooting. Anyone having information regarding this shooting are asked to call the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 715-5522 or 715-5514, the police chief's office at 715-5548, 911, or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
