Basseterre, St. Kitts October 20 2014 –Vibes Beach Bar is keen on "giving back" to the community with a special effort being geared to Breast Cancer Organizations during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, with the "Vibes Turns Pink 2" Event.
At the fundraiser, patrons enjoyed live entertainment, a selection of pink drinks and participated in raffles for which money was donated to Reach for Recovery SKB.
This year Vibes was able to raise a grand total of $6400.00 EC for the group and presented it in a small handover ceremony to President and Founder of Reach for Recovery SKB, Ms. Agnes Farrell.
According to Vibes Turns Pink 2 organizer Sally Martin," We've raised money for lots of charities but for breast cancer support we have raised for, Pink Lilly and St Kitts Nevis Breast Cancer Patients Assistance Fund, this year we decided to donate funds raised from Vibes turns Pink 2 to Reach for Recovery as our way of joining with the group to help fight the dreadful disease"
Reach for Recovery SKB is an Extraordinary team of individuals with a passion for educating the people of St. Kitts and Nevis about prevention and treatment of breast cancer. They provide emotional and financial support for persons currently battling cancer and support sessions for those who overcame breast cancer. Reach for Recovery SKB also hosts a range of fundraising and awareness activities during the year and more so in the month of October.
Reach for Recovery Spokesperson, Markysa O'Loughlin highlighted that Vibes' invaluable contribution would assist the group with their initiatives. "I especially thank Vibes Beach Bar for generously raising EC $6400 to us without even being asked! I'd like to also give our sincerest thanks to all the other sponsors who donated raffle prizes and other contributions including LIME, Marshall's, Freedom Fm, Royal Beach Casino, RAMS, Sweet and Savory, CaribAPP, IC Jewellers, iRepSKN. ZIZ, Carib and OPUS"
Vibes Beach Bar has been committed to supporting many charitable organizations in the twin island Federation since its inception in 2012.
Reach for Recovery is also grateful for the support and contributions received from other entities and members of the community who are helping to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
