    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, NOVEMBER 4TH 2014 (CUOPM) – Antigua and Barbuda has been told that the celebration of another Anniversary of Independence affords the Nation a glorious opportunity to reflect on the times in which challenges and failure were met with resilience and successes, redounding to blessings on the Twin-Island State, a tribute to the tireless efforts of the people of Antigua and Barbuda.

     

    “As you celebrate thirty-three years as an independent nation, this year’s theme: ‘Antigua and Barbuda, Rebuilding our Nation with Togetherness, Commitment and Perseverance,’ aptly reflects the patriotic fervour that envelopes your Nation, and captures well your vision as the new leader of your country,” said Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas to his Antigua and Barbuda counterpart, the Hon. Gaston Browne.

    “After thirty-three years of progress the words of Paul “King Obstinate” Richards still holds true today: ‘Antigua, freedom forever! Barbuda, freedom forever!’,” said Prime Minister Douglas.
