Tyson to launch his candidacy for upcoming Federal Elections

Press Release

Charlestown, Nevis (Wednesday, November 5th, 2014)-The Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) St. George’s Constituency Branch and ‘Team Cory’ are inviting all Nevisians and residents to witness the historic launch of its Nevis 10 candidate for the upcoming Federal elections, Mr. Cory “Masablue” Tyson.

The launch is scheduled for Saturday, November 8 at the Gingerland Hard Court from 6 pm.

Tyson has been identified by many St. George’s residents, especially the young, as the candidate who will work hard for youth and community development and empowerment, ending a quarter of a century of self-centered representation.  The Constituency has been represented in the Federal Parliament on the opposition benches since 1989 by the uncaring, self-serving and forever-absent Premier Vance Amory.

According to Tyson, the long-suffering residents of St. George’s have been neglected for far too long, and he intends to change that.

Tyson, who is a videographer and musician, is known to many people as a humble, talented and embracing individual, and is well respected by residents throughout Nevis for his caring attitude and approachable manner.

“I am offering myself as a candidate because I feel that I can and will make a real difference in the lives of the residents of St. George’s because I truly care about the progress of the community and the empowerment of the people,” said Mr. Tyson.

The launch promises to be a very eventful evening with speeches and endorsements by party stalwarts and well-wishers, the Cory Tyson acceptance speech, live music and other forms of entertainment, in an ambiance of vision and progress befitting the young, upcoming candidate.

“I'm the child of parents who invested everything they had in me and my sisters, and I am a father who wants to see my children grow up in St. George’s (Gingerland), a proud and strong parish," said Tyson- the Federal Parliamentarian hopeful.
