The St. Kitts-Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2oL4 Technical Assistance Training.
The sessions which began today, underscore the private sector's commitment to improving the technical infrastructure of our economy, making us more competitive in our abiliff to operate and maintain technology-driven equipment with processes such
as automation, robotics and animation.
Coming_ swiftly on the heels of the launch of the National Manufacturing Strategr, the planned courses began today with a week-long session in programmable logic control.
The Programmable Logic Control course is facilitated bv Mr. Dwaine Hibbert, lecturer in instrumentation, digital technology and process control, at the University of Technology in Jamaica.
Within the region, St. Kitts and Nevis is the largest exporter of goods to the USA. This p_osition however, is constantly challenged by our competitors. Through this, and other planned courses in its 2oL4 Technical Assistance Training, the St. Kitti-Nevis Chamber of Industry and Commerce will be preparing employees to embrace these technologies for incorporation into current businesses and to attract new business entities in lhe future.
