Basseterre, St.Kitts (TUCOM):- Ian Patches Liburd has real assets – experience, managerial abilities, expertise and talents that any Cabinet will benefit from. Dr Harris, on Tuesday’s Changing Times Show on Sugar City FM Radio made a passionate call for the people of East Basseterre to fire the non-performer Earl Asim Martin and to elect Ian Patches Liburd of Team Unity as their next representative.
Dr Harris said when Douglas regime needed a competent person to head several entities like the Air and Sea Port Authority, Maritime Unit, and to serve as Permanent Secretary in Land, Housing, Public Works, Public Utilities and Posts it was Ian Patches Liburd to whom the government ran for help. Whatever ill words Douglas and Martin may now hypocritically speak about Patches, when help was needed it was Patches to whom the government turned.
Ian Patches Liburd has a wide range of experiences in sports, entertainment, in private sector management, having served in senior positions at Delisle Walwyn and SL Horsfords. He also served as Champion of Workers.
“I need Ian Patches Liburd’s competence, his ability to speak truth to power, his frankness in dealing with people and not make poppyshows of them as Asim would. For all these and more, I ask the people of East Basseterre to vote for a son of the soil of East Basseterre, a man who has always proudly and honestly looked out for East Basseterre. I want him to drive the revitalization of Basseterre but I need him too to lend his experience and expertise to my government.”
