BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE late afternoon traffic flow was interrupted yesterday (Nov. 27) when three vehicles, including two motor omni buses, were involved in an accident in the New Guinea area.
The incident is said to have occurred sometime between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.
SKNVibes visited the scene of the accident to find that all three vehicles were facing Basseterre’s direction and, while one of the busses and the motor lorry (truck) were on the mountain side of the road, the other motor omni bus rested in some bushes on same side of the road.
It is still not clear how the accident occurred but this publication understands that the driver of the vehicle that was in the bushes was transported to the hospital via private vehicle and he was said to have been complaining for pain to his legs.
SKNVibes is unaware if other individuals who were in the vehicles had suffered injuries.
This media house understands that police officers with responsibility for that area are making investigations into the matter and an update will be provided as information becomes available.
