Press Release

November 28th, 20144  --  The annual Montessori  Academy, Nevis, art show was a major attraction. Through the guidance of their art teachers, the children have utilized materials around them such as peas, tissue papers to create classic pieces that were exhibited last week Thursday at the Riviera House, Government.

Parents and visiting artists spoke highly of the children’s art. Paula Paez, the art teacher explained that the children this time round used crayons, woodwork, tissue paper on glass and other techniques to create their art pieces. Abstract art was exhibited by the children as well.

Ann Rose, an accomplished artist resident in Nevis talked highly of the art exhibition and said introducing art to children is a step in the right direction.  “It is important to introduce art to children before other ideas are imposed on them.”
