Buckley's resident gunned down in home

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts –THE Buckley’s Housing community was shaken this morning (Dec. 1) by news that one of their young men was gunned-down while in the comfort of his home.

     

    The deceased, SKNVibes understands, is 30-year-old Javed Merritt.

    Details pertaining to the incident are not yet forthcoming, this publication however understands that while the TDC Group of Companies’ employee was in one of the rooms of his Buckley’s Housing home, a gunman (men) shot him from through a window.

    He died on the scene and was pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer.

    When SKNVibes visited the scene early this morning, it was observed that members of the Crime Scene Unit and other police officers were making investigations into the incident.

    Merritt’s demise marks the 20th murder to have taken place within the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis for the year.

    He is said to have been a driver at the TDC Group of Companies.
