Monday, December 1, 2014 - In an effort to better accommodate the influx of travelers to the Territory for the peak season, the Government of the Virgin Islands is advising the public that the operating hours for the Ports of Entry will be extended effective December 1, 2014.
According to Director of Communications, Mrs. Arliene T. Penn, “Due to the high season, the operational hours for the ports of entry at West End and Virgin Gorda will be extended to 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. respectively.”
Mrs. Penn noted that the regular operating hours for West End ends at 6:00 p.m. and Virgin Gorda at 5:00 p.m.
She said, “During the peak season there was not enough time to facilitate the clearance of late vessels. As such the recommendations were made to adjust the ports’ operating hours.”
The Government of the Virgin Islands continues to make accommodations for persons traveling to the Territory.
