PAM Central Basseterre Group Elects new Executive

By: Public Relations Office of PA M, Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, December 2nd, 2014  --  As they say in Nevis these days, “something good is happening”, but in this case it is Central Basseterre with the election on Monday 24th November, 2014, of a new Executive Committee, to lead the affairs of the PAM Central Basseterre Branch.

The election of the nine (9) member team took place during the ordinary weekly meeting of the Branch, at the constituency office on Cayon Street and Upper Thibou Avenue.

Though in England at the time of the election on important family related matters, Central Basseterre candidate lawyer Jonel Powell called the meeting after the election to congratulate the new executive, telling them that he has every confidence in their abilities.

He said with their election, he is now even more certain that his chances of victory are solid, come the poll early next year. But Powell also had words of praise for the members of the former executive, saying that their contribution and support for the constituency branch over the last year helped to lay the foundation for his campaign today, and for that he is grateful.

Heading the new team is Lester Hanley as Chairman, with Azziwah Niles, Deputy Chairman, Mervyn Hazel, Secretary, Violet Browne, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer, Leevar Flanders, and Hazel Webster, (former Deputy Chairperson), Loretta Nisbett, Idetha Richards and Karilyn Pemberton, making up the rest of the executive.

Powell said he was also pleased that some of the members from the past executive are also serving on the new Board, thereby giving the Branch leadership a good mixture of “new blood” and experienced officials.
