3rd December, 2014 -- Three (3) of the St. Kitts and Nevis 25 Most Remarkable Teens 2014 will be hosting a Music Camp from 8th-31st December, 2014 under the theme Higher Heightz Music Camp 2014. The camp is for young persons between ages 10 to 19 who are interested in song writing, learning an instrument and being a part of a youth choir.
Sandy Point and Cayon are the main focus areas and presentations will be given on song writing, choir development and learning instruments. The camp will be completed in three (3) phases. The 1st phase of the camp will be held at the Verchilds High School on the 8th, 10th and 15th December, 2014, the 2nd phase will be held at the Cayon High School on the 17th, 22nd and 23rd December, 2014 and the 3rd phase will be held in Basseterre on the 29th and 30th December, 2014.
Breneisha Stevens (Youth Activism), Quancent Edwards (Music) and Dennis Mc Call Jr (Youth Activism) are of the view that there is a great need for positive music amongst the youth of the Caribbean thus they intend to inspire youth to compose original music which will then inspire other youth not only in the Federation but throughout the Caribbean. At the end of the camp, both areas will combine to make a Youth Choir which will perform in January at the Ministry of Youth 25MRT Exhibition.
