December 8th, 2014 -- In a meeting held on December 7th 2014 in Montserrat, a new constitution was adopted to govern basketball in the Leeward Islands and an Executive was elected to administer the development of the game in the sub-region.
The newly elected members of this Executive are as follows:
• Mr. Daryll Matthew (Antigua) : President
• Mr. Gilmore Williams (Montserrat) : Secretary-General
• Mr. Kenroy Tobias (St. Kitts) : Vice President
• Ms. Schakima Wanda Parri (Nevis) : Treasurer
• Mr. Rudy Webster (Anguilla) : Public Relations Officer
• To be held by Barbuda representative : Assistant Secretary / Treasurer
Further, the Executive of LIBA decided that the annual LIBA Championships will be a National Team Championship competition in both Juniors and Seniors with the different age categories playing in alternating years (2014 – Seniors, 2015 – Juniors etc.) The islands of Antigua, Anguilla, Barbuda, St. Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat and Tortola were represented at the meeting.
