Chinese Supermarket owner shot

King’s Pavilion on Sprott Street

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - WHILE persons were preparing themselves to celebrate the birth of the Christ child, mischievous hands were busy executing their enterprise which resulted in Kelvin Zhang, owner of King’s Pavilion Supermarket on Sprott Street, being shot and hospitalised

     

    The incident, which was confirmed by Police Press and Public Relation Officer Inspector Lyndon David, occurred shortly before mid-night (Dec. 24) in the vicinity of the business entity.

    According to a police release, initial investigation revealed that Zhang was attacked by two armed assailants while he was seated in his vehicle in the supermarket’s parking lot.

    “Anyone who has any information pertaining to this shooting incident is asked to contact the CID at 465-2241, ext. 220, the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS). Remember, you do not have to provide your personal information and you maybe eligible to receive a reward,” the release read.

    SKNVibes understands that Zhang was reportedly transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he is said to be warded.
