Basseterre, St. Kitts (December 30, 2014) – Eight loyal Digicel customers spanning across St. Kitts & Nevis had a very Merry Christmas when they shared a total grand prize of $35,000 on Wednesday, December 24, 2014.
The historical Circus in Basseterre buzzed with much excitement during the early afternoon of Christmas Eve, when dozens of well-wishers & media representatives gathered to cheer on the six females and two males assembled on stage to participate in a final draw, where five (5) of whom were guaranteed to walk away with $1,000 cash and the remaining three (3), a superb $10,000 each.
Having qualified for a spot in the final round of giveaways either through Topping up, Paying their Digicel phone bills in full, purchasing a Smartphone or Activating a 4G Data Plan, Keshari Chapman, Jasmine Clarke, Vaughn Henry, Shadine Julius, Latoya Lowe, Stacy Pemberton, Chelsea Rogers and Evris Smithen anxiously opened the randomly selected envelopes to reveal their winnings.
Within a few minutes of the live Digicel radio and TV broadcast, screams and tears of joy flooded the platform as all 8 Finalists showed their $1,000 and $10,000 slips of paper. Coincidentally both Nevisians in the Grand Finals, namely, Evris Smithen and postpaid customer, Latoya Lowe, won $10,000 each. The other $10k recipient was Keshari Chapman of Shadwell Housing Development. The remaining five contestants were also thankful & congratulated each other for having been selected for their “final chance” to win $1,000 cash in Digicel’s #ChristmasTogether Campaign.
The five week end-of-year Telecommunications Promotion rewarded a total of 32 prepaid and postpaid Digicel customers with EC$95,000 in cash. All winners have claimed their prize money and are willing to participate in a heart-to-heart testimonial campaign in January, to recap their Christmas treat from Digicel.
