Basseterre, St. Kitts: - The commitment of Racing and Gaming Services to the community was again felt when it recently handed over 24 large food hampers to the Ministry of Community and Social Development and Welfare for distribution to those who are in need.
The initiative is a product of the Racing and Gaming Services Social Committee which was founded in December, 2006 and holds fast its believe and vision that “not all circumstances are permanent, when there are people willing to help”.
The committee has recognized that all people, no matter their situation or circumstance, deserve love, warmth and care and it strives to assist the less fortunate in the Federation and is strong, committed and dedicated to poverty eradication.
Over the past years, it has donated to families, organizations, the Joseph N. France General Hospital’s Pediatric Ward, Ade's Place located at Greenlands, the Ministry of Community and Social Development and the St. Kitts-Nevis National Association of Disabled Persons, just a few, presenting them with toys, books, wheelchairs, blankets, food items and much more.
Ms. Azilla Clarke Director of Social and Community Development graciously accepted the donation on behalf of the 24 individuals.
The Racing and Gaming Services Social Committee is pleased to be able to make sure donations and encourages other organizations to do the same as together we fight the battle against poverty.
