BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - LEADER of Team Unity Dr. Timothy Harris has made a pledge to all Labour supporters that the organisation he leads would not indulge in victimisation if they were to form the next Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.

“I say to all the Labour supporters, there is nothing to fear from team Unity; for Team Unity is not about victimisation. Team Unity will let all the workers who are working honestly continue to work.

“Team Unity will not throw anybody out of any houses…that is not why we were formed. We were formed to bring a new dispensation.”

Dr. Harris made this promise last evening (Jan. 11) while speaking at a Team Unity’s meeting in Cayon; the first of a series of meetings following the tri-party coalition’s launch of its “Year of Change” election campaign at the CEMACO Parking Lot in Pond’s Pasture on Thursday (Jan. 8).

He told the fair-size crowd that his organisation was formed on the basis of providing better opportunities for all those in St. Kitts and Nevis.

“We were formed to bring fairness, we were formed to bring betterment to the people, we were formed to ensure prosperity in the land for everyone.

“We were formed to ensure that the man who wants help with his business can get help. We were formed to ensure that the hair dressing saloon that needs equipment can get that equipment and support. We were formed to ensure that the contractors who need help with getting their equipment and tools and their pick-ups, Team Unity is there to satisfy their needs.”

Dr. Harris also blasted Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas for moving away from the principles of the Federation’s first Premier, Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw, and other stalwarts of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.
