PAM to celebrate Golden Jubilee with yearlong celebration

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, January 14th, 2015  --  The People’s Action Movement is this year celebrating its 50th Anniversary as a political organization and to kick off the year long celebration activities, a number of events have been planned.

     

    The Leader Hon. Shawn K. Richards will be making an Address to the Nation on January 15th 2015 at 10am.  The now 50 year old Political Party will then join their partners in Team UNITY for a Public Meeting on Thursday evening at Conyers Lawn in Constituency #4.  followed by a Public On Sunday January 18th will worship at the St.Annes Anglican Church in Sandy Point at 9am. The Church Service will be followed on Sunday evening with another Public Meeting in Molyneux with the partners in Team UNITY. The Central Basseterre Group has organised a special constituency meeting on Monday, 19th January, 2015, at 7:00pm to help kick off the Golden Jubilee.
     
    Monday 19th January will mark 50 years to the day when the party officially wrote to the governor of the colony at the time informing him of the establishment of PAM, four days before, on 15th January, 1965.
     
    Monday’s special Central Basseterre Constituency Branch meeting will feature presentations by present and former PAM leaders while other presenters will highlight some of the rich history of the party and its contributions over the past 50 years.
     
    The meeting will take place at the constituency office located on the corner of Cayon Street and Upper Thibou Avenue, in Central Basseterre.
     
    Residents, friends and supporters of PAM and especially the Team Unity partners are warmly welcomed to attend all the events. 
    PAM has had an enviable record and list of achievements and contributions to the federation. The most significant of course being the fact that along with the NRP in Nevis led by Dr. Sir Simeon Daniel and  the People’s Action Movement under the Leadership of the Rt. Hon. Dr. Sir Kennedy A Simmonds led our country into Independence on September 19th 1983.
    PAM Built A Solid Foundation for this country between 1980-1995 whilst in Office. Below is a list of some of the worthy and pioneering development initiatives and policies of the PAM administration
