Man stabbed at Labour Party Concert

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A young man from Stapleton Village is left nursing a stab wound or wounds following an incident during the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s 2010 Election Anniversary Concert held at the St. Peter’s Playfield on Saturday night (Jan. 24).

     

    The young man, whose name was given as Denzil Edwards, is said to have been injured while the Nu Vibes Band was performing at the Concert.
     
    The extent of his injury or injuries is unknown, but SKNVibes understands that the incident was quickly dealt with by members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.

    When contacted, Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime, Ian Queeley confirmed that the incident did occur and investigations are being conducted by officers at the Stapleton Police Station.
