Sandy Point, St. Kitts (26th January, 2015) -- Expanding on its practice of appointing a qualified member of the Sandy Point community as Festival Security Chief, SPIRIT has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Junie Hodge, C.E.O. of H&H Security Services, as this year’s Festival Security Chief. SPIRIT has also announced its intention of providing special training in event and venue security, for its 2015 volunteers.
"We have partnered with H&H Security Services, a premier provider of security officer services and other related security services in an effort of ensuring that we continue to provide safe, clean, fun atmosphere for our patrons and sponsors alike" said Amos Francis festival Chairman.
Organizers have stated that since the festival's inception in 2011 they have been able to keep disturbances at a minimum over the five year span as a result of comprehensive planning with the relevant Security forces of the federation, including but not limited to the Royal St. Christopher & Nevis Police Force, the Defense Force as well as the Fire & Rescue Services. A track record which they intend to maintain, if not improve.
"Our customary pre-festival discussions with the Police High Command is expected to begin shortly and we are confident that this initiative would prove beneficial for all involved. Our volunteers, like our members would now serve as an extension of the uniformed security forces at our events. The training session is guaranteed to help everyone in becoming more alert, responsive and courteous" said Francis
