By: CUOPM, Press Release

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, FEBRUARY 9TH 2015 (CUOPM) - One week before the people of St. Kitts and Nevis go to the polls, residents are describing Sunday’s Whistle-stop, the biggest ever in the history of the twin-island Federation.

St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas led hundreds of vehicles and thousands of red-coloured clad supporters through the streets of St. Kitts.

The motorcade/whistle, which left Port Zante after 2 P.M. travelled along the Bay Road, Wigley Avenue, Cayon Street West, Pond Road, Pond Site, Factory Road, Taylors, Cayon Street and then travelled Westwards via Old Road, Sandy Point, Fig Tree, St. Paul’s, Saddlers, Belle Vue, Tabernacle and Cayon where a political meeting was held.

As the motorcade wended its way through St. Kitts, residents poured into the streets, danced and waved and greeted Prime Minister Douglas and the seven (7) candidates of the SKNLP, who all spoke on a Public Address system through their respective constituencies.
