Bird Rock Beach Hotel, 12 - 13 February 2015 -- The CARICOM Secretariat commissioned A-Z Information Jamaica Limited to perform the above-captioned consultancy.

The consulting firm was contracted to undertake, inter alia, the following activities:

    i. Examine and refine the proposed list of best practices which would apply under each of the five of the CSME regimes

ii. Create the best practice models for standardized application and harmonization

iii. Re-examine and further refine the Technical Action Plans for reform of Member States’ administrative systems, practices and procedures in relation to agreed standards

iv. Reform existing administrative processes and/or where necessary install best practices to ensure harmonization and standardizations

    v. Reform or develop standard forms and documentation in twelve Member States

vi. Train relevant personnel in twelve Member States

The methodology for delivery of activities was divided into eight phases.  Phase four involves the “Implementation and Installation of Best Practices and Country Specific Technical Work Plans”, which includes providing training on the DWMS, a crucial component of the larger initiative to make the rights under the Caribbean Single Market (CSM) more accessible. DWMS would also ensure a higher level of efficiency and effectiveness in the processing of CSM rights. The system will contribute to the achievement of the full integration of the national markets of Member States of the Community into a single, unified and open market area.
