By: Team Unity Secretariat, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 11, 2015 - Speaking to an energetic crowd of over 3000 people at the launch event for its inaugural Manifesto held on Tuesday night on Wigley Avenue, Basseterre, TEAM UNITY announced that upon taking office it will implement a $500.00 per month grant for disadvantaged families in the Federation, as part of its people-focused “Prosperity Agenda”.

In making the major announcement, Team Unity Leader, Dr. the Honorable Timothy Harris stated:

"So many people live pay cheque to pay cheque, month to month.  They deserve help from their government.  The SIDF is the people's money. They deserve to benefit on a consistent basis."

The Honorable Mark Brantley stated, "The people of St. Kitts and Nevis deserve better and will get a better government with Team UNITY  ."

One young mother in the audience with tears in her eyes stated, "This will help me so much. Sometimes I just have enough to get the things we need.  $500.00 will go a long way for me.  Thank you TEAM UNITY!"

Another young man and his wife  stated, "That man care ‘bout people. He care ‘bout me". (referring to Team Unity Leader, Dr Harris)

Supporters were motivated by the Team Unity Manifesto Launch event, pushing their way to the stage to get their hands on the much anticipated Team UNITY manifesto.

The $500 per month SIDF-funded family support grant is intended for households earning $3,000 or less per month.  This is one of the many initiatives a TEAM UNITY government will implement to improve the lives of families in St. Kitts and Nevis.
