Basseterre, St.Kitts (TUCOM-February 12th ):- In a historic decision today, the Privy Council ruled comprehensively and finally in favour of TEAM UNITY.
This decision:
• Establishes - once and for all - that the election on Monday must be conducted on the existing boundaries and not any of the “new” boundaries that Denzil Douglas wanted to introduce to try to steal this election;
• Shows that the actions of Douglas and his cohorts were politically immoral, illegal and unconstitutional.
Dr. the Honorable Timothy Harris stated, "Our only intent was to ensure we continued the fight for democracy, justice and fairness. The people of St Kitts and Nevis deserved no less.”
“We call on the electoral authorities to respect the rule of law, so that the people of St. Kitts and Nevis can participate in this election without any further election illegalities or irregularities. We remind them that St. Kitts and Nevis is a democracy and not a dictatorship.”
“We call on all of our citizens - here in St Kitts and Nevis, as well as in the diaspora - to join in unity to require this government to abide by the rule of law and to avoid further political immorality and election trickery. We know that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
TEAM UNITY candidates have been continuing to knock on doors, turning out thousands at public events including over 3000 at the launch of our manifesto.
The people of SKN deserve better. They deserve a government that believes in democracy and the rule of law. The world is watching.
The people of our beloved Federation want to participate in this election. They want their voices to be heard. They know that this election may be the most important of their lives. They are asking the question if they better off than they were five years ago. Our people know that they deserve much better.

Our Manifesto has outlined a progressive prosperity agenda that creates 2000 new jobs, $500.00 per month for disadvantaged families, safe neighborhoods, VAT relief, universal health care and most importantly a fair share for all.
