PAM in full support of Thursday’s March and rally against crime

    Basseterre,St.Kitts - The St.Kitts-Nevis main opposition party is pledging  its full support for this Thursday’s  March and Rally against crime. According to Party Leader Mr. Lindsay Grant the organization is actively encouraging all it’s members, supporters and well wishers to give their unequivocal and full support to the march whether through active  participation or otherwise.
     .
     “The proud party of which I am a very proud leader is in full support of the march being organized by The Christian Council, the Evangelical Association and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for this Thursday , said PAM Leader Mr. Lindsay Grant.  “I urge  all party  members, supporters, freinds and well-wishers to support this worthwhile effort,” Mr. Grant continued.
    Grant further said, “ I want to also remind our supporters to wear black and or white in order to reflect the solemnity of the occasion.”  
     

    The People’s Action Movement support for the March and Rally comes after months and months of  agitating for a unified and collective  approach to fighting crime to which the Christian Council,The Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Evangelical Association have now taken heed.
     
    Mr. Grant was informed of plans by the Christian Council, the Chamber and the St. Kitts Evangelical Association to promote a March and Rally to sensitize the Nation to the urgent need to condemn crime and violence in the society.
     
    The Theme of the rally is: “United: Working Together Against Crime and Violence.”    Mr. Grant  has been invited to deliver an address at the Rally.
     
    “My party supports this unified and collective expression of concern about this sad situation in our country of crime and violence,” said Mr. Grant. “I hope this activity may spur the government to some sort of meaningful action in the fight against crime,” Grant Continued.
     
    The march is scheduled to begin at 1pm  at the Patsy Allers Playing Field on Thursday 2nd April .
