BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE two individuals who received letters from former Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas concerning posts on their Facebook pages, have reportedly responded.
Information reaching this publication indicated that Dr. Douglas had written to Jermaine Lake and Rivi Warner-Lake asking for an apology and compensation, among other things.
In the case of the former, who is the brother-in-law of Prime Minister the Hon. Timothy Harris, the post in question surrounds the revocation of Dr. Douglas’ United States-issued visa.
The letters which were issued by Dr. Douglas required that they be responded to within a 48-hour window and this publication understands that at least in one of the cases, the letter was delivered on Monday (Mar. 23).
SKNVibes understands that both of them have since responded to Dr. Douglas’ letters and have denied his allegations of defamation and damaged to his reputation.
This publication also understands that both of them have indicated in their responses that they would not accede to Dr. Douglas’ requests for the issuance of an apology, compensation and the payment of his legal fees.
