BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - BUDDING Trinidadian Soca star Jojo has arrived in St. Kitts where she is set to perform at the  2015 LIME Miss Black San’ Swim Suit Pageant and is promising to entertain.

Speaking with members of the media upon arrival at the Robert L Bradshaw International Airport, Jojo stated the reason for her trip to the Federation.

“I got invited to perform at this really cool event; it suppose to be a big Swimsuit Pageant that is hosted annually and I am pretty excited about that.”

She also indicated what individuals could expect from her performance this evening (Mar. 29).

“It’s going to be lots of fun for sure. Real bubbling...I am all about vibes and happiness and I express that through my music and through my performance, so look out for that. Fun for sure!”

Jojo then gave a brief explanation of her career as a Soca artiste.

“I have actually been performing for about four years I am actually a part of an all-female band in Trinidad. It is Nadia Baston’s All-Female Band and I started off doing background vocals.

“I professionally started doing front-line singing two years ago with my first release ‘Shake Dat’. Since then, it was then amazing.”

In 2014 Jojo’s ‘Shake Dat’ turned into a regional hit with the racy but catchy lyrics which has been one of the more popular tunes at party’s even here in St. Kitts and Nevis. The high-energy song demands ladies to shake their ‘boom boom’.
