BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A sigh of relief is being breathed by a young man who was the apparent intended victim of a shooting incident that took place earlier today (Apr. 7) in the Sandy Point area.
The incident, according to Superintendent Cromwell Henry Commander of District ‘B’, took place at about 9:25 a.m. in Mount Idle along 42nd Street.
He said police officers in Sandy Point received a report of the sound of a gun being fired and investigations revealed that a young man was sitting on the side of the road when another approached and fired a single shot at him.
Thankfully, the intended target was able to flee the scene and escape injury.
Superintendent Henry said a suspect is being sought and the incident is under investigation.
