BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, APRIL 3RD 2009 (CUOPM) – The fifth in the series of Town Hall Meetings hosted by the Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas is set for next Tuesday.
The Town Hall Meeting will be held on Tuesday 7th April at the Washington Archibald High School in East Basseterre at 7:30 P.M.
Prime Minister Douglas along with the Parliamentary Representative, Dr. the Hon. Earl Asim Martin, are expected update the gathering on national issues as well as matters related specifically to East Basseterre and more importantly to respond to questions and listen to the concerns and suggestions of the residents.
Persons living in Taylor’s, New Pond Site, New Town, Pond’s Pasture, Pond’s Extension, Fort Street and surrounding areas are invited to attend.
Prime Ministerial Meetings have been held in St. Paul’s, Old Road, Central Basseterre and Conaree.
The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Government introduced Town Hall meetings several years ago as one of the avenues of getting the views and opinions of nationals in the decision making process and the shaping of policy.
