BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Federation’s Police Force has issued a wanted bulletin for a male Cayon resident and is offering a reward for information leading to his capture, but warns that he is armed and dangerous.
Wanted is 35-year-old Marcus ‘Mighty’ Hunkins of Hermitage Village, Cayon, who is said to be dark in complexion, weighs 139 pounds, dark complexioned with black unkempt hair and is of medium built.
A police communiqué, which was issued this morning (May 24), did not give any reason for issuance of the warrant for Hunkins’ arrest.
However, this publication spoke to a number of residents in Cayon and was told that late last week officers at the Cayon Station had launched an early morning operation in which a number of residences were searched.
One resident said: “It was observed early Thursday morning that a host of armed officers from Cayon Police Station went searching some homes in the community. We learned that when they went to search Mighty’s home, he jumped through a window and escaped. So far, we do not know what they found there, but he did not wait around for them to arrest him.
The communiqué noted that anyone who sees or knows his whereabouts are asked to contact the police.
“A warrant is in existence for the arrest of Marcus Hunkins who is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Cayon Police Station at 465-7258, the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS) where your information will be held confidential and you may be eligible for a reward,” the communiqué reads.
