    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IMAGES of the two men, who carried out a daring daylight robbery at Ram’s Wholesale Department in Bird Rock on Friday (May 22), were caught on closed-circuit television (CCTV) and management is offering an EC$10 000 reward for information leading to their arrest and conviction.

     

    According to reports, at about 3:50 p.m. on the day in question, two armed bandits had entered the Ram’s Bird Rock premises pretending to be members of the Christian-based religious movement, Jehovah Witness.

    One of them, who was position on the verandah handing out religious flyers to customers, attacked the business establishment’s Manager, robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money and inflicted a wound to his head during the process. 

    He is said to be six feet tall, slim in body and was dressed in a green long-sleeved shirt and a broad brown hat. 

    Following the daring robbery, both men had made good their escape but were caught on camera.

    According to management, “Although the bandits were very cautious not to reveal their faces, it is our hope that someone will recognize a profile or walk, or mannerism that would lead to an arrest and conviction.”

    The incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department and the police are seeking the public’s assistance in bringing the two men to justice. They too offering a reward.

    “Anyone who has any information pertaining to this incident is ask to contact the CID at 465-2241, ext. 220 or 231, the nearest police station, or Crime Stopp areers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS). Remember, you do not have to provide your personal information, and you may be eligible to receive a reward.”
