Ciara Confirmed for 2015 St. Kitts Music Festival

    BASSETERRE (27th May, 2015): St. Kitts is thrilled to announce that Ciara will bring her ‘1, 2 Step’ to the 19th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival, June 25-27, 2015.

     

    Other confirmed acts include Trey Songz, Jason Derulo, Arturo Tappin, Bounty Killer, Christopher Martin, Roy Cape, Aswad, T- Vice, Tono Rosario, Ricardo Drue, Kerwin DuBois, Patrice Roberts, Blaxx and Benjai.

    Ciara was born Ciara Princess Harris, and is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, actress and fashion model.

    In 2004, Ciara released her debut studio album Goodies, which spawned three hit singles: "Goodies", "1, 2 Step", and "Oh". The album was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and earned her four nominations at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards. 

    She released her second studio album, Ciara: The Evolution, in 2006 which spawned the hit singles "Get Up", "Promise", and "Like a Boy". The album reached number one in the U.S. and was certified platinum.

    Now in its 19th consecutive year, the Festival attracts both locals and visitors alike. It features a wide range of musical styles on the popular market, including R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Gospel and Contemporary music.

    Past artists have included such prominent acts as John Legend, T-Pain, Michael Bolton, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, UB40’s Ali Campbell, Wyclef Jean, Ne-Yo, Air Supply, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, The Commodores, Dionne Warwick, Billy Ocean, Sean Paul, Boyz II Men, King Konris, Stephen Marley, Regina Belle, Maxi Priest, Chris Brown, Biggie Irie, Bunny Wailer and Lord Nelson.
