SKN students dabble in demonic ‘Charlie Charlie’ game

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – REPORTS reaching this publication indicate that students across the Federation, particularly on St. Kitts, have been dabbling in the “Charlie Charlie” game, which is said to be a Mexican ritual intended to summon evil spirits.

Over the past couple of weeks, the game surfaced or resurfaced and took the internet, mostly social media, by storm. And reports began circulating of individuals, typically children, engaging in the Charlie Charlie Challenge, some of whom have reportedly experienced strange or paranormal activity as a result.

The game is played with the use of two pencils and a piece of paper.

Caribbean countries Jamaica, St. Lucia and Antigua and Barbuda have reportedly banned the game in their schools after students displayed disruptive or demon-possessed-like behaviour.

SKNVibes spoke with several parents with school-aged children on St. Kitts who informed that their children, on more than one occasion, came home from school and informed that other students were playing the game.

This publication is however unaware of any instances of children who would have taken the challenge after which they exhibited paranormal or demon-possessed-like behaviour.

SKNVibes spoke with a number of officials of schools across St. Kitts, most of whom said they are aware of instances where students of the institutions have played the game.

This publication also understands that action was taken in warning the students against and forbidding them to engage in activities of such nature.

At one school in particular, this publication understands, proactive measures were taken to warn students of the possible dangers of taking the challenge after a number of them were heard speaking about it.

Regarding a high school institution, this media house learnt that teachers had expressed concern about the challenge being taken by students and they were given authority to warn and forbid the children from engaging in such practice.
