BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE St. Kitts and Nevis Senior National Football Team last evening (Jun. 8) participated in an open practice session at Warner Park.

Fans were invited to go out and witness the team in action as it participated in a number of tactical drills in preparation for a stern test against El Salvador on Thursday.

A few hundreds of spectators went out to view the sessions as the man charged with leading the team, Jacque Passy, put its members through a rigorous training schedule.

Passy - a Mexican- will stand in for the two games against El Salvador.

Speaking after the training session, Passy told this publication about the team's preparation.

“The preparation has been splendid! We have bonded tremendously well with the players and coach Hazel. The bond has been tremendous and monumental, and I think we have really grown tactically today."

He was also asked about the team’s recent trip to Mexico, to which he described as being remarkably good.

"It was excellent! It was seven days there we were together. We were at training everyday twice a day. There was a very high level of training and a very high level of integration, so I think it was extraordinary."

The coach was also asked about his objectives for the game.

"We are facing a tremendously tough team so I can’t say we will win, because it will be illogical on my behalf. The expectation is to play at an extremely high level."

St. Kitts and Nevis will face El Salvador in a World Cup Qualifier in Warner Park on Thursday evening (Jun.11).
