Armed bandits rob Frigate Bay business entity

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St.  Kitts – ARMED bandits last night (Jun. 23) carried out a daring robbery at the Royal Cash and Carry store, just metres from the Frigate Bay Police Station.

SKNVibes understands that the incident occurred sometime between 8:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on the compound of what was Jack Tar Hotel.

This publication was reliably informed that two armed individuals, whose faces - excluding their eyes - were covered with shirts or pieces of cloth, entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.

It is also understood that a gun or guns were pointed at and rested on the thigh of the clerk- who sits just two feet from the entrance - while one of the assailants leaned over her and removed a sum of money from the cash register.

SKNVibes further understands that before stopping at the Cash and Carry shop, the thieves entered and exited a nearby restaurant which is also located on the property. But nothing was reportedly stolen from that business establishment.

Press and Public Relations Officer of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Inspector Lyndon David told SKNVibes that the matter was reported to the police and investigations are being made.

He said no suspects are in custody.
