14th July, 2015 – Nineteen (19) year old Lewis Bennett launched a Youth Development Workshop for graduating Grade Six (6) students entitled “Lesson 81” on Monday, 13th July, 2015 at the Sandy Point Primary School. The aim of the workshop is to act as a stepping stone to high school. For the next four (4) days, students will be exposed to Leadership Skills, Public Speaking Skills, Teamwork Skills and Personal Development Skills.
Mr. Bennett, founder, stated that he saw a great need for a student development workshop for individuals leaving primary school. He also stated he is confident that at the end of the workshop the students will be more mentally prepared for their High School life.
Students, who formally attended the Sandy Point Primary School, Newton Ground Primary School, Seventh-Day Adventist Primary School, Tyrell Williams Primary School and Bronte Welsh Primary School said that they were excited about the workshop and strongly believe that they will benefit from it.
Mr. Bennett is accompanied by La-Crissa Richardshon, Xuxa Garroden, Kisheen Buchannan, Devatara Mike and Dennis Mc Call Jr who are all supporters of Youth Development in the Federation. The ‘Lesson 81’ team wishes to publicly thank TDC Ltd for sponsoring the workshop and the Ministry of Youth for their support.
