St. Kitts & Nevis - Happiest Nation in the World 2020?

I recently watched Vital Signs, a program aired on CNN and produced by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, where he investigates one of the happiest countries on earth - Denmark.
Danish people are happy and they also understand how to trust. Trust in each other, trust in government and trust that neighbours look out for one another.
So, how did the people of Denmark arrive to this ability trust and learn to believe in their Government? I recently visited Denmark, the home of my forefathers, and it was truly amazing to see people riding their bikes, leaving their bikes out in public, and never the fear of leaving their doors unlocked. The biggest observation? Everyone seemed relaxed, free of anxiety and stress. I noticed people enjoying lunch in the parks, laughing and smiling everywhere.
I was proud of my ancestral roots.
Then my thoughts drift back to my home today, in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Happiness is the one thing we all want in our lives. Today, our new Government is in possession of a Nation Building Framework that can build a stronger, safer and happier nation. This framework advances new economic drivers, new financial models, and offers a fresh approach to elevating our nation’s academic, small business and youth empowerment programmes.
The Nation Building Framework now before our Government of National Unity was engineered to our civil servants, our private sector, our academic institutions and our financial industry. The plan rises above political party and ideology — it’s a roadmap for progress and modernisation.
In short, our nation can, with resolve and a measure of trust, ensure that our elected officials achieve their promises made — promises used to secure Team Unity’s election.
The goal for you and I? One word, Happiness...a better life for you and I. The cost? Trust in our Government and adherence to a vision that elevates us all. And trust that we are being lead with the highest nature of good governance.
Happiness not only feels good, it also leads to a much healthier and longer life. Maybe we can all learn something from the country of Denmark. Perhaps by 2020 Denmark will be dropped to #2 as St. Kitts and Nevis becomes the Happiest Nation in the World 2020.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.
