Is Grell Browne earmarked for Police PRO?

Commissioner of Police (Ag) Stafford Liburd
By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kits – INFORMATION reaching SKNVibes suggests that a civilian, Grell Browne, may soon assume responsibilities as head of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police’s Press and Public Relations Department.

The Department is currently headed by Inspector Lyndon David who has been there for a number of years. Prior to David, it was headed by a number of individuals, both police officers and civilians.

SKNVibes contacted Acting Commissioner of Police Stafford Liburd to indicate to him the rumour heard by this publication and to ascertain its authenticity.

He briefly indicated that while Browne is “working closely” with the police, he is not prepared to make any further indication in confirming or refuting the information.

“He is working closely with the police, that is all I am prepared to say. At the moment he is working closely with the Police Department.”

Browne currently holds the position of Director of the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS).

Should he indeed assume responsibility for the Police Force’s Press and Public Relations Department, the question of who will fill his slot at SKNIS begs to be answered.
