BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, APRIL 15TH 2009 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas is lauding the Immaculate Conception Co-Cathedral for organising a series of Evangelistic Services in the communities which witnessed violence crimes in recent months.

“I want to thank the Catholic Church again for stepping forward at this critical time to make a difference.,” said Prime Minister Douglas, on his weekly “Ask the Prime Minister” radio programme which is syndicated live on ZIZ Radio, Kyss FM, Sugar City Roc and radio One.

The first Evangelistic Service takes place this coming Sunday April 19, at 5:00 P.M at McKnight.

Last Sunday’s church bulletin asked the youth and young parishioners are asked to join the Parish clergy led by Father Bernard Latus in this venture while older parishioners are asked to go to the church for the Holy Hour of Adoration to pray for the success of the mission.

Subsequent Sundays will see the Catholic Church taking its Evangelistic Services to New Town, Cayon, Conaree and the Village.
