Digicel customers in Nevis sing praises for new cell site

By: Digicel, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts (July 31 , 2015) – Residents of Nevis who own and operate Digicel mobile phones, are waking up to increased 4G signal strength on their devices. This is being made possible with the recent commissioning of a new cellular site at the Rams Supermarket location in the Queen City.

Popular Radio DJ and long-standing Digicel customer from Nevis, Curtis Morton, commented; “I knew something was up! I travel to Charlestown on a daily basis and immediately noticed that my calls were much clearer and my WhatsApp messages were being delivered without any delay. This is so much better, Digicel. Thanks for caring about the people of Nevis!”

Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis’ Technical Team worked around the clock to ensure the new cell site was commissioned to provide additional 4G coverage in the Farms, Charlestown, Baths and ValuMart areas which is resulting in faster speeds and an overall enhanced customer experience. This great technological advancement comes on the heels of a recent announcement made by Digicel’s new CEO, Joya Martin, of a EC$5 million dollar investment over the 2015/2016 fiscal year to improve network coverage and capacity.

With the Culturama season of activities now underway, the Digicel network upgrade has been delivered with what Nevisians refer to as “perfect timing.” Digicel St. Kitts &Nevis’ is committed to providing best network, best value and best service – bringing to life its promise to customers to enable them to be “Be Extraordinary.”
