Shaggy tops first ever Reggae Entertainment Television Awards

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts- ‘MR. LOVER-LOVER’, Shaggy, continues to make a name for himself with big hits and award after award.

The singer has recently taken two more awards at the inaugural Reggae Entertainment Television (RETV) Awards.

According to 876radio, the recently held award show was the first of its kind and saw Shaggy taking the awards for Best Reggae Video and Video of the Year with his hit ‘Bad Man Don’t Cry’. 

The other categories were Best Video Director taken by Jason ‘Jay Will’ Williams, Best Dancer in a Video taken by Global Bob also known as Sponge Bob, Prodigal Son received Best Gospel Video, and Terro 3000 was named Best New Artiste in a Video. 

Sugar Roy and Conrad Crystal featuring Gyptian received the award for Best Video by a Duo/Group, Best Caribbean Video was presented to KK Alese, the lovely Tifa won the award for Best Music Video Female while I-Octane won the male category of this award, and Busy Signal received yet another award for Best Dancehall Video.

A special award for RETV My Video Pick Icon for contribution to the local music video industry was presented to Trevor Baillie.
