BASSETERRE St. Kitts, August 20th, 2015 - The St. Kitts Schools Apex Co-operative Society has announced the winners of its 2015 Academic Excellence Awards. These awards are given to the best performing students in the Department of Education Grade Six Test of Standards Examination in Mathematics, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies.
Dennis Maynard of the Tucker Clarke Primary School won the Mathematics Award, Giuseppe Garito, also of the Tucker Clarke Primary School won the Social Studies Award and Tiquana Proctor of the Joshua O. Williams won the Language Arts Award. Johnisha Rawlins of the Newton Ground Primary School and Muriel Knight of the Tucker Clarke Primary School were joint winners of the Science Award.
To qualify for the award students must be members of their School’s Junior Savings Co-operative. The award is valued at $300.00 per subject area.
