Basseterre, St. Kitts (September 9, 2015) – Partnering with the “Leaders of Tomorrow Foundation” out of Tabernacle, Digicel has donated 80 school bags to the children of the Tabernacle Primary School.

Digicel donated the bags to the Foundation who then distributed them to children who attended their back to school treat in the community. This donation forms part of Digicel’s efforts to lend a helping hand to the students’ educational development.

The Leaders of Tomorrow Foundation is a non-profit organisation established out of the Tabernacle community and aims to be a source of positive reinforcement for the children of the community.

Natalie Gibson, President of Leaders of Tomorrow, said; “The back to school initiative sought to help parents by providing much-needed school supplies just in time for the start of the school year. This is very much in line with what our organisation aims to do in the Tabernacle community – empower young people to make a positive change in their community and in their own lives.”

Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis Marketing Executive, Tishanna Jeffers, said; “Digicel’s donation will not only bring a smile to the faces of the children, but also to their parents who now have one less item to purchase for the start of the new school year. We are pleased to have been able to partner with Leaders of Tomorrow for this back to school initiative and wish them all the best as they try to bring about positivity within their community. We also wish the recipients and their parents all the best for the new school year.”
