Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps (TRMPC) Provide Services in St. Kitts and Nevis

Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to St. Kitts and Nevis His Excellency George Gow Wei Chiou
Taiwanese Embassy Press Release

One of the widely-known Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps (TRMPC), composed by 24 doctors, nurses and volunteers, is arriving St. Kitts and Nevis on the afternoon of September 13th and starts their service here up to September 21st. Residents, citizens and nationals on the twin islands of St. Kitts and Nevis, are noted that basic medical services in fields of dentistry, pediatrics, pediatric infectious diseases, gynecology, internal medicine, upon the consent of SKN authorities concerned, will be rendered alongside local practitioners in hospitals, community health centers or other areas, while volunteers will assist where necessary.

The general public is also noted that the daily programs and workstations conducted by the TRMPC can be referred and observed as attached. Relevant medical services would be provided in St. Kitts on the days from 13-17 September and Nevis 18-21 September. It is considered appropriate for people to line in queue and keep in mind a principle “First come, first serve” before they see the specific doctors.

TRMPC is a private, non-sectarian, non-profit organization dedicated to improving quality of life through provision of medical services and health ducation. Founded in 1995, by the vision of Dr. Chi-Chun Liu, TRMPC joined talented medical personnel with enthusiastic volunteers to form a medical service group.

By providing primary health care and disseminating health information, TRMPC offers temporary relief as well as builds foundations for sustainable health care systems in the future. TRMPC believes that medical service should transcend national borders and exceed the limitations of politics, race, and religion. It holds as its end goal a united international community working in cooperation to bring about equitable access of healthcare to all populations.
