NHCS in partnership with Green Coast joins hundreds of thousands of people around the world for Trash Free Seas this September during the 30th annual International Coastal Cleanup.

What:  NHCS is organizing a beach cleanup expected to be attended by over 300 volunteers as part of the 30th annual International Coastal Cleanup, the world's largest single day volunteer effort to clean up our beaches, and waterways. By joining the movement volunteers will help clean up trash already in the ocean and work to reduce their own trash impact before it happens. Trash in our ocean is an issue that affects our food, the environment and our economy. Everyone has a role that they can play in helping to Clean Up Nevis by spending just a few hours removing trash and debris from our beaches and communities.  Last year, more than 250 people picked up 3,150 pounds of trash along 10 miles of coastline on Nevis.

When/Where:  Saturday, September 26th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., join a team by contacting the NHCS at 469-5786 to Cleanup sites near you!  Come and Join a Team and Sign Up to Clean Up OUR  BEAUTIFUL  NEVIS!

We could never accomplish this task without the help of volunteers.  We look forward to your tremendous contribution once again this year!

Volunteers will be served lunch at Coconut Grove Restaurant. Groups and individuals, if you would like to be involved in helping to protect your seashore, become a volunteer by calling the NHCS at 469-5786 to register and lend a hand to clean the shores of our Nevis for its Birthday! Certificates will be provided for each participant!
